Several states, including Oregon, are currently working to ban all magazines above ten rounds. We will soon compile a list of these states, other potential state bans, and the switchboard’s phone number for residents to call their local representatives and demand these measures fail. This list of state actions that are taking place will be updated as regularly as possible. Please keep in mind we are a small staff, but we are working as diligently as possible to get you all the information for your individual states so can get involved to protect your 2nd Amendment rights. Please be advised that some of these state actions are good for the gun owner (especially the Firearms Freedom Acts similar to Indiana, Mississippi, and several others).
The Firearms Freedom Act is a play on the 10th Amendment covering State’s Rights as well as the “commerce clause”. Montana first introduced the F.F.A., the F.F.A. declares that any firearms made and retained in-state are beyond the authority of Congress under its constitutional power to regulate commerce among the states. There are already a few states that have passed the F.F.A., they include Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, and Wyoming. For more information on the F.F.A. please visit the Firearms Freedom Act page.

Rep. Stephen D. Dargan, D-West Haven. co-chairman of the legislature’s public safety committee, would make public the names and addresses of permit holders under Connecticut’s Freedom of Information Act — and would reverse lawmakers’ decision to protect that personal information from disclosure nearly two decades ago.
Meaning if you are a CCL holder your information will be public so that your neighbors and everyone will know you are a gun owner (now if you are going to steal a gun you don’t have to guess which households have them.. you have a handy list given to you by the state).
