It’s time to BOYCOTT!
There are businesses now that are caving in to the demands of the Obama Administration as well as anti-gun/gun grabber activists. Some of these businesses are even those that cater to us as gun owners by selling products we use. StopTheGunBan endorses a boycott, until practices are changed, on the following list of businesses, and tourism to the following places and why:
First Oklahoma Bank - FOB suspended financing to 2 Vets Arms Co.
Dick’s Sporting Goods – Dick’s caved into pressure following Newtown to remove AR-15′s from display.
CheaperThanDirt.com – CTD was among the first companies in the current gun panic to hike prices on magazines, ammunition, and rifles. They last did this in 2008 when Obama first won his election, and they shamefully have continued this business practice in the wake of the politicized Newtown shooting.
Ebay – Ebay has banned the sale of assault rifle accessories when listed as such.
Buffalo Wild Wings – In the past month (Jan 13) BWW has painted “No Guns Allowed” on their front doors.
Groupon – Groupon, we’re told, has shamefully decided to stop posting gun related deals.
Google - Google is now “scroogling” (to use Bing’s latest marketing terminology) gun owners by removing guns and gun related merchandise from its Shopping feature.
Autozone (Most will let you carry in them but still we should boycott them for depriving their employees of the right to defend themselves and firing one who responded in an emergency, saving his manager.)
FedEx and any related business establishments (FedEx Forum in Memphis as an example) – No carry.
Sprint Nextel Stores - No carry
Waffle House - No carry
CostCo - No carry policy resulted in police shooting a Las Vegas man in 2010.
SWCA Environmental Consultants, Inc - Anti-gun firm
Toys R Us - No Carry
Bank of America - No financing for gun businesses.
Levi’s - No carry
Yalumba Winery – Australian Winery that pulled its wine from the NRA’s wine shop
Any Business that declares itself “gun free” under pressure from the gun grabber movement, ceases sales of certain guns and ammunition under pressure, or does anything else to declare itself in line with those who wish to strip our Second Amendment. We will update them as we learn about them.
Boycotting Tourism – StopTheGunBan Travel Advisories
1. Chicago – Chicago, with the strictest gun laws in the country, is one of the most dangerous cities in America. The poster-child for failed gun control, gun owners should avoid traveling to Chicago and giving money to the institutions there that demand such laws.
2. California - California has been a nationwide leader in gun control efforts, enacting its own assault weapons ban, magazine capacity restrictions, as well as requiring the use of a tool to remove magazines from their firearms due to a lock ordinance. California relies heavily on tourism as a state going bankrupt, and gun owners should avoid spending money there, where they need it most.
3. New York – With the recent passage of the (un)SAFE Act, which even restricts law enforcement to 7 round magazines, New York State is a dangerous place with easy pickings for criminals. We advise no travel to New York due to its anti-2nd Amendment government and citizenry. If you plan to visit the City for its 9/11 memorial and other landmarks, we advise staying in New Jersey and depriving the government there of your hard earned money via room and sales taxes.
4. Washington, D.C – Despite being our nation’s capital, where everyone should visit once, D.C is essentially a gun free zone which we only endorse traveling there for pro-gun protesting and visiting monuments and the war memorials. With the harshest permitting requirements and only one legal arms importer for the city, the capital our founders envisioned is a city without rights. Unless you wish to protest or show your family the historical monuments and war memorials, for which we recommend staying in a Northern Virginia hotel and commuting in, avoid spending money in D.C and if possible, traveling there.
Please share this page with your friends and spread the word on social media and message boards. The only way a boycott can be successful is if it is observed by the masses. Contact the owners of these stores and let them know of your intent not to shop there, and for why. Feel free to send any responses from them, or additional companies that meet our boycott’s criteria to us via email, or paste in the comments section below.
Notice: If you represent or work for any of the boycotted companies and can assure us that the practices have discontinued, let us know and we will gladly look into the claim and lift our boycott.
Places to Shop Instead:
We’d like to give a shout-out to the following companies, as opposed to urge boycotting:
1. Walmart – in wake of Newtown driven pressure from the media, Walmart has refused to stop selling AR-15′s at their stores that do so. Hats off to you, Walmart. While some may be upset with their Two Box ammunition policy, Walmart is only doing so as a result of demand being high and supply being low, with some factories claiming two year backlogs.
2. Amazon - Amazon continues to sell gun accessories. Like Walmart, we commend you. Thank you Amazon, for understanding simple supply and demand, and continuing to support the 2nd Amendment.

Walmart stores in Ct buckled to pressure from local politicains and stopped selling guns in most of their Ct stores. Most still sell ammo but as it is with everywhere supply is extremley limited
Thanks for the heads up Joe. We’ll look into this and possibly call for a boycott of Walmart in CT or possibly nationwide. Considering the location is the liberal northeast, assuming Walmart did not do so elsewhere in the country this may very well be an isolated policy. That said, support for the 2nd Amendment is all or nothing, so we’re looking into it and will update accordingly within the next few days.
I disagree with the Walmart info. I was in Walmart the very day of the shootings and was their when corporate called them to halt all gun orders and only sell what they had in stock. They are NOT getting in more ammo either. So, please, correct this and add them to this list, which, by the way, I applaud you for posting!!
Thanks for the response. My local Walmart is getting in new ammo and firearms daily. I actually saw a new AR type rifle there today. After talking with a few employees they also said Walmart is not halting sales of ammo / firearms. I wonder if your Walmart is making a decision by local management not a corporate one. What do you think? Can you get more information
Hi,
Like Steven, I looked into this via my own local walmart. They informed me they just sold out on AR’s again and are almost out of ammunition except shotgun sales, but that a truck is inbound. Perhaps this is a local decision by your town’s walmart?
If this isn’t the case I would really like to know. Please let us know. Thanks for reading.
